Most of the rods seen on this site have decoration beyond the level that the majority of  fishing rods display.  Most of the rods that I build, however, are much simpler working rods with fishing function being the main consideration.  Custom rods are simply built from components (blanks, reel seats, grips, guides, etc.) that the customer and builder select to meet the desire(s) of the the user.  From rods with decorated grips and/or cross-wraps to basic fishing tools, a custom fishing rod can be designed to suit many different tastes and purposes.  Rod repairs like guide and handle replacement or modification are also available with the site.
